What to look for when buying RV wheel bearing grease
Three things, in order.
A lithium complex or calcium sulfonate thickener. Both hold structure well under sustained heat.
The GC certification mark, which is the wheel bearing half of the automotive grease standard.
A high viscosity base oil, because heavy slow turning loads need film thickness more than they need low drag.
Plenty of RV owners buy marine grease on the theory that tougher is tougher. Water resistance does nothing for a trailer that never sees a ramp.

The storage problem, and what to do about it
