The short version

  • The 300M wheel bearing at the front is 513089, shared across the whole LH platform family.
  • That same 513089 front number also covers the Concorde, LHS, and New Yorker from 1993 to 2004.
  • The rear uses a single number too, 512029, across that same family and year range.
  • Both ends bolt on as complete assemblies, no press required.

Some charts sprawl across a dozen rows. This one does not: an entire Chrysler platform family answers to two part numbers.

Two numbers cover the whole family

513089 front, 512029 rear

The front hub is 513089 for the 300M from 1998 to 2004, and the same number covers the Concorde, LHS, and New Yorker across the wider 1993 to 2004 span.

The rear is just as simple: 512029 fits that identical family and year range.

The 300 is a different car

Do not confuse the 300M with the later 300

Chrysler’s later 300, without the M and built on a rear wheel drive platform, is a completely different car from the LH family 300M.

Nothing on this chart crosses over to that later 300, so a part number pulled for one will not fit the other.

One platform, four names

The LH platform underpinned the 300M, Concorde, LHS, and New Yorker together, which is why one front and one rear number cover all four. The Concorde’s closest cousin at Dodge dealers was the Intrepid, and that side of the family sits on the Dodge page.

Chrysler’s broader lineup is on the Chrysler page.

Bolt on at both ends

Both the front and rear 300M wheel bearing assemblies bolt on as complete hubs, unlike the press-in style found on other platforms. That keeps the job closer to a brake job than an engine job. Bolt on simplicity does not change how the bearing wears, though, since steady highway miles remain the biggest factor.

A rising hum that tracks with road speed is the usual first sign, the same pattern covered on the tire noise comparison page.

Diagnosing a 300M wheel bearing

  1. Confirm the model is a 300M, Concorde, LHS, or New Yorker before assuming this chart applies.
  2. Rule out the later 300, which uses none of these numbers.
  3. Listen for a steady hum that grows with speed.
  4. Rock the wheel at twelve and six o’clock to check for play.
  5. Plan a bolt on swap rather than budgeting time for a press.

Common questions

Which 300M wheel bearing fits the front?

513089, the same number used on the Concorde, LHS, and New Yorker from 1993 to 2004.

Does the rear use a different number?

No. The rear is a single number too, 512029, across the same family and years.

Do parts fit the newer 300?

No. The later 300 dropped the M, moved to rear wheel drive, and shares nothing on this chart.

Is a press needed for either end?

No. Both the front and rear bolt on as complete assemblies.

How does the Dodge Intrepid relate to this family?

The Intrepid was the Dodge cousin on the same LH platform, but it is not one of the models this chart’s numbers are confirmed for, so check its own listing separately.

About this page

Wheel Bearing Editorial Team The Wheel Bearing Editorial Team researches, builds and edits wheelbearing.net. Every part number on the site is transcribed from manufacturer and distributor catalogs (Moog, Timken, SKF, National, BCA/NTN) rather than generated, and every vehicle page is checked against the catalog rows before it goes live. When two catalogs disagree, the page shows both readings and tells you to match the old part or the VIN. More about how this site is built.
